Wonowon

Wonowon is located approximately 95 km (59 miles) north of Fort St. John. It is a community of about 100 people located at Mile 101 of the Alaska Highway. Numerous businesses operate from Wonowon and service highway travelers. Surrounded by Crown land and forest, the community is sometimes susceptible to forest fires. The Wonowon Elementary School provides a centre for the community. It includes a skating rink and a gymnasium and is shared with local community groups.

Subject: Population

The population of Wonowon is closer to 250! The school itself has about 45 students, and is only K-7, and there is another K-7 school as well as home-schooled children. I would estimate that there are at least 100 kids aged 5-15 in Wonowon! Check your facts!!
